To strengthen their existing operations, we are looking for a procurement & sustainability manager.

Job description

You lead and manage Perpetum’s supply of products and services. You strategise to find the most cost-effective deals and suppliers, so the company can continue to invest in growth and people.
• You ensure that the business purchases the goods and services that will best help them achieve their goals;
• You manage the company’s entire supply portfolio and implement category management strategies;
• You collaborate with all departments to ensure clarity of the expectations of the company; you act as point of contact between the company and the external vendors;
• You follow market developments and approach and assess vendors in order to select the most suitable vendors;
• You negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms;
• You put in place framework agreements and you order goods/request quotations in accordance with these framework agreements;
• You examine and test existing contracts and framework agreements; you monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met;
• You design and deliver PerPetum’s ESG risk mitigation and sustainability ambitions, ensuring buy-in from relevant stakeholders both internally and externally;
• You ensure that the ESG / sustainability function enhances business performance through rigorous ESG risk management and supports PerPetum’s business development;
• You ensure internal policies, controls and measurement systems are in place, in line with industry best practice and SFDR requirements, to support ESG risk mitigation and sustainability efforts;
• You lead on educating colleagues on ESG / sustainability matters and support with helping colleagues understand the role they play in delivering PerPetum’s sustainability ambitions;
• You analyze data and report key functional metrics to the Management Committee;
• You prepare control strategies, and you build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration;
• You boast at least 5 years of work experience as a procurement manager, ideally in the renewable energy sector or in industrial electricity;
• You have a certain knowledge of electricity, AC with Medium or High voltage;
• You have knowledge of contract law and contract administration;
• You are an absolute ambassador in Corporate Social Responsibility, including Environmental Social Governance;
• You communicate well with all stakeholders, verbally and written; you are able to produce clear documents;
• You have outspoken negotiation skills and you build strong networks;
• You show initiative and problem-solving skills;
• You are able to effectively plan, organize and implement;
• You develop a vision and innovative ideas to achieve our procurement goals;
• You are hands-on, open minded, curious, smart and interested. An out-of-the-box thinker able to connect and convince.
• You easily take ownership and spot opportunities / room for improvement.
• You have good working skills in French, Dutch and English.

Job description

  • You have a ‘green hart’ and you believe in renewable energy.
  • You manage the buying process for a given set of goods, materials and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • You prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements.
  • You apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
  • You manage problems and schedule changes, and you ensure these changes are reflected within the ERP-systems (ODOO).
  • You contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
  • You research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
  • You research and evaluate existing and new suppliers.
  • You explore alternate sources for goods and materials. (packaging, cabling, casing, chips, …)
    You ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
  • You monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
  • You will closely work together with 2 purchasing colleagues (1 for operational & non-technical purchase & 1 for logistics & warehousing) – you will report to the R&D-manager.
  • You build bridges between SMAPPEE & local ‘maatwerkbedrijven’ to optimize production.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and have proven purchasing experience, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • You have strong technical knowledge and understanding of business processes, components, and supply chain management.
  • You are highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • You have a developed a strong knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.
  • You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English.
  • You have good knowledge of ERP programs and strong computer skills, including advanced Excel skills
  • You feel good in a flexible environment where you get the opportunity to work independently.
  • You show a good feel for electronics and possess the urge to want to keep on developing yourself
