To strengthen their existing procurement core, we are looking for a category manager technical services.

Job description

As Purchase Category Manager you are responsible for the indirect purchase of Oleon’s global technical services & capex needs. In this role you can fully develop your tactical and strategic purchasing experience. In addition, you support the development and implementation of Oleon’s sourcing strategy.

Based on a continuous analysis of market conditions and an accurate screening of the needs and requirements regarding technical services and Capex. You will negotiate contracts and offer tailor-made solutions. You can rely on a professional team of supporting purchasing staff with the necessary experience to support you.

You proactively propose new purchase projects and execute them in collaboration with our technical team and procurement colleagues from Oleon’s mother company Avril (Paris HQ). The focus is on cost reduction, optimization in terms of quality, innovation, and efficiency. Finally, sustainability is one of our most important selection and evaluation parameters.

In this role, you will report to the Oleon Purchasing Manager Indirect Materials and you are a part of Avril’s corporate purchasing team

• In scope: piping services, mechanical works, electrical works
• Projects in the pipeline: charging stations, reactors/tanks, production expansion, ..
• Multiple EU plants + USA & Malaysia = international orientation & mindset

Profile

• You are intrinsically interested in and aware of global economics & politics, which you follow up closely and take into account within your role.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and are able to process a lot of information & set priorities. Based on this information, you are able to develop a strategy and adapt as needed, based on the latest information.
• You are a real relationship builder which makes you the link between different internal and external stakeholders.
• You are an excellent communicator and an enthusiastic team player.
• You have relevant experience in purchasing.
• You are highly flexible and result oriented.
• You have a Master background or equal by experience.
• You speak fluently English. Knowledge of other EU languages such as Dutch, French & German is an asset.
• You are willing to travel to all plants in scope, for 15 % of your time.
• You are passionate and show a strong technical affinity.
