Our partner is a leading company that manufactures crucial components for the automotive sector. In an industry that has been under heavy pressure, the company has managed to stay on the right track and is now aiming to maintain its current growth.

Originally starting in 1972, the company has successfully expanded internationally, establishing manufacturing facilities globally. Some of which are located in China, Germany and Belgium.

Our partner is currently aiming to even further professionalize its supply chain organization. In order to achieve maturity, they currently defined an SIOP process. To eventually arrive at a fully professional IBP-system, they are currently hiring an SIOP Planner.

Job description

  • As an SIOP Planner, you will be leader of the monthly SIOP cycle and the weekly MPS.
  • In order to arrive at the MPS, you will be working closely with the master planners and local supply chain leads. Special attention has to be attended to the agreed stock level boundaries.
  • In this role you will be responsible for the validation of the strategic long term business plan, translating it into plans for sales, supply chain, operations and purchasing.
  • Within this role, substantial care will be given to further developing the whole SIOP process through continuous improvement projects.
  • As you are fully responsible for the SIOP cycle, you will be leading the monthly meetings. Afterwards, you are responsible for ensuring correct alignment and implementation of the agreed plans.

  • By creating, maintaining, updating and correcting the data, you will be able to better review the forecast at hand. As the horizon for the forecast is 12 to 18 months rolling, it will be of the utmost importance that you develop a strong sense of the heartbeat of the forecast in order to monitor its accuracy.
  • You will further evolve into your role by analyzing the product profiles and making sure that product categories stay updated.
  • Afterwards you will need to grow into your role. This means that you really evolve into an E2E cycle, making sure that you can analyze business opportunities and their possible effects on forecasts.
  • As a demand planner, you will be an interface with other internal stakeholders, effectively being a key player in the preparation of NPD-meetings and the whole S&OP process.


  • Our partner is looking for a candidate with a master’s degree in a business-oriented program.
  • You have gathered at least 5 years of experience as a business planner in an international environment. Knowledge of the automotive industry is a significant asset.
  • English is the company’s language so full professional proficiency is asked. French or German are interesting extra’s.
  • The perfect candidate has the potential to grow and to learn on a day-to-day basis. You have a long-term view and wish to contribute in a meaningful way to the growth of the company.
  • You combine an analytical mindset with a strong set of communication skills, this enables you to communicate on C-level meetings.
  • Next to that, you are strongly process driven and know how to connect the dots in the bigger picture.
  • A strong knowledge of Excel is an absolute must, working experience in SAP would be considered a plus.
