CHALLENGES
- Three main challenges were discerned, requiring a specific approach.
- Client opened a new manufacturing site in the beginning of this year to fully encompass the BU’s production operations.
- Also, company-wide implementation project of SAP was pushed through at the same time of new site opening.
- New interpretation of the complex MTO manufacturing process, combined with a new system caused huge organizational stress on the team members within planning, creating an order book that could not be managed properly.
RESULTS
- Drawing upon SAP PP / SD / APO expertise within our network, Purson stepped in to get supply chain activities within the BU back on track.
- Operational continuity was ensured by focusing on working away the backlog.
- Secondly master data was cleaned, ensuring a smooth scheduling process, drawing upon SAP-possibilities to involve multiple stakeholders within one cycle.
- Lastly Purson provided a backfill and assistance within the development of the new planning team.
