CHALLENGES
- Coordinating the roll-out of a proper CSR-strategy on a Belgian / LUX level, translating international group goals (Paris HQ for global operations) to tangible policies and an action plan to bring sustainability and innovation to a top of mind level and active focus within the procurement department.
- Change management in close cooperation with procurement, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility teams to ensure that procurement practices adhere to the highest environmental, social, and ethical standards.
RESULTS
- Development of Sustainable Procurement Strategies: Design and implement policies and strategies for responsible procurement aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and select suppliers in compliance with sustainability standards, considering environmental, social, and ethical criteria.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain close relationships with suppliers to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices and compliance with company requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in regulations related to sustainable procurement and ensure the company’s compliance with these standards.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to integrate sustainability criteria into the procurement process and raise awareness among internal stakeholders about the importance of sustainable procurement.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Prepare periodic reports on the company’s sustainable procurement performance, highlighting progress made and areas for improvement.
