CHALLENGES

  • Seniority within the planning department was rather high with a possible outflux of strong employees.
  • No real standard guidelines or manuals were available to new employees that threatened to weaken the operations due to a very extensive manufacturing process.

RESULTS

  • Firstly, we analysed current planning practices and systems at hand (AS IS).
  • Secondly, we proposed and developed new planning model and strategy (TO BE).
  • We defined rules for segmenting and liaised with central and local planning teams. By recognizing and analyzing statistical parameters, we improved overall planning health.
  • Lastly, we identified and implemented continuous improvement initiatives, providing vital support to the existing S&OP-cycle.
