As part of a well-known MNO, customer develops, blends and distributes a wide range of high-end technological lubricants. They portfolio covers more than 1.000 products that can be applied in consumer appliances as well as in industrial applications.

CHALLENGES

  • Due to Covid, client went through a set of different challenges. Order book was no longer manageable, which could be traced back to a sudden drop in supply. The Suez Canal obstruction only worsened this lackluster supply.
  • Service level dropped and client wasn’t able to work away the shortages.

RESULTS

  • Operational continuity was guaranteed by really stepping into the organization in true firefighting mode.
  • Efficient management and coordination of all intercompany supply to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service by working together with other team members and global cross-functional departments.
  • Management of subsets of item groups and suppliers to deliver best inventory turns while focusing on a high level of customer service.
  • Master data management throughout various databases to ensure smooth MRP, stock management and short lead times.
  • Management of material plan with new delivery info, aligning all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Price negotiations with approved vendors to control costs and realize cost savings in the entire supply chains.
